Barbara Paterson
Daughter of James Paterson and Margaret Skene. Born 13 Jan 1868 Queensland, Australia Source for person: Interestingly Barbara had 7 children (one was my grandmother). She was married to Charles Patterson (2 ts) who was the first major of Toowong. She had twin boys (Alexander and James). Both boys went to Gallipoli and then onto the Somme. Uncle Alec died at the Somme and is buried at Villers Bretenneux. Special tribute to the twins has happened in Toowong, with the Brisbane City Council placing a photo of the twins on a city council bus and city-cat. I have attached a photo of the tribute. Also Uncle Alec was especially mentioned at the Toowong Dawn Service yesterday. 26 Apr 2015
